What People Are Saying about Westlite Accommodation

“There are several foreign workers living in multiple housing quarters in Senai industrial parks, creating a lot of environmental and hygiene problems to the local community due to cultural and lifestyle differences. With the first mass clean-up jointly organised by Westlite Accommodation and Flextronics, I hope workers could learn the importance and better manage their hygiene and cleanliness at their accommodations and the environment.”

Quote extracted and translated from Sin Chew Daily.

“Aside from allowing the businesses to effectively manage their manpower, logistics and productivity, the multi-faceted benefits of [purpose-built workers accommodations] include promoting structure and organisation, which impacts traffic and congestion. Such organised developments ensure residents and community well-being and will foster an environment that is both sustainable and liveable.”

YB Jagdeep Singh Deo
State Executive Councillor for Local Government, Housing and Town and Country Planning, Pulau Pinang.

YB Jagdeep speaks at the opening ceremony of Westlite Bukit Minyak

“The availability of [a purpose-built workers accommodation] will also add on to the pull factor of our state to companies and business with a large foreign workforce. I am confident that this pioneer PBWA project in Penang will be one of the reasons to inspire the nation as outlined in Penang 2030 while we continue to pursue strong, sustainable and equitable growth and development across the country.”
